In ‘la Petite Ecole’, the children are divided into three age groups rqnging from 3 to 6 year olds. The children then move onto ‘la Grande Ecole’, which corresponds to the French primary school. Classes range from a Transition class to the Primary school (cours élémentaire).
The children are welcomed by the teachers who start the class with a group activity: a song, a story, a discussion, a puppet show, etc. The group is then divided in three and each child works on the educational objective set for them by the teacher and adapted to their level.
At the end of the class, the group gets together again to repeat the activity done at the beginning of the class.
